Some might call it a leap of faith but for Pascal, it was more than that. Sliding into Mmeso’s Instagram DM five years ago was with one intention… to win her heart no matter what.

Thankfully, with the help of a mutual friend, he got a response to his DM and was able to win Mmeso’s heart with his cool personality and great sense of humour. Soon enough, it was a baecation turned proposal in Dubai and now, a beautiful journey to forever. Shortly after their vibrant Igbo traditional wedding, the lovebirds said ‘I do’ in a white wedding ceremony. Mmeso looked absolutely radiant throughout her big day and Pascal made a dapper groom. Pascal and I met on Instagram in May 2018. He sent me a DM and reached out to our mutual friend, Lucas Ugo, to ensure his messages weren’t ignored lol. I replied the next day and I remember thinking to myself “Who is this one” 😂 but we kept talking and I realized he’s pretty cool and has a good sense of humour. Days later, he came to my city and we met for the first time. The conversation was great and we quickly became friends. We started dating in July 2018.

September 2019, he decided we needed to take a trip somewhere just for the sake of it. We quickly packed our bags and flew to Dubai for a few days. Almost immediately, a few of my friends started saying he’ll propose and I shrugged it off because we had only been together for a year and I didn’t think it was time just yet.

All set for he big day!

On the last day of our trip, he told me his friends had invited us to dinner at Atlantis The Palm. At the end of dinner, he asked to take pictures of me by the aquarium and I followed him. We got there and I saw a diver in the aquarium holding a sign with my name on it! I turned around and found the love of my life on one knee! The rest is history.
