Ayo and I were childhood friends but we lost touch after I moved back to my parents’ in 2006. I met him again during NYSC in Lagos. He heard I was around and reached out, so we resumed being best friends. In 2019, he asked me out, telling me he had always loved me. We got engaged in 2022 and are on our way to forever.
