I got a WhatsApp notification on a random Friday night in January 2022 from a username that said ‘Local man’. I thought that was a pretty funny name and went to investigate. Turned out to be Val, who attended the same University as me back in the day but we’d never officially met.

Did someone say gorgeous bride? 😍

It wasn’t until he got my number from a mutual friend that week that he decided to shoot his shot after admiring the beauty from a vantage point for years, lol. We’ve talked every day since then and bonded over everything from quizzes to music. He proposed at a really romantic dinner with friends right before Christmas and I said, Yes of course!
