We bet Ego and Macs can relate to what we are talking about because that was how their journey began. They met at a friend’s birthday bash and it was an instant spark. Now, these two are set for a lifetime of bliss as they tie the knot in a beautiful white wedding ceremony. Ego looked exceptionally beautiful and Macs made a super dapper groom.

Their special day came with a truckload of love and beauty and it tells how love can change the course of two strangers in an instant. They make such a lovely couple and we are so excited for them as they embark on this sweet journey.

I met Macs at my bestie’s birthday bash. He was a plus one, but it turns out he had his eyes on me since the night before!😂 We were both in the same lounge, and he got my Instagram handle from a friend. Fast forward to the next day at the birthday party, he was quiet but caught my attention during a game – he was Lemon 5 so I kept referring to him as Lemon 5 till the end of the night. Towards the end of the party, he approached me while I was dancing alone. I noticed his height, deep voice, and amazing scent! 😍 We chatted, exchanged numbers, and the rest is history.

Here’s how Macs popped the question:

We got back from the UK for the introduction and civil wedding. Before we returned, I had a feeling he might propose, but I didn’t think much about it. During the hectic week, my friends and I planned a dinner where we’d all dress up. On the day of our dinner, I was so exhausted that I decided not to put on makeup and almost bailed to get some sleep but I didn’t want to let them down, though, since we’d planned this outing for a while. My mom even called, persuading me to hang out and stay out late. I should have known something was up because she never wants me out late, but I didn’t notice she was in on the plan too 🤦🏾‍♀️😂. Anyway, I reluctantly got dressed and went out.

Walking into the restaurant, it seemed empty, so I thought we were the only ones there. I didn’t see anyone until I turned into the corner and was immediately surprised by our loved ones and my husband. I was so happy to share that moment with all the special people in my life, and I literally didn’t expect the proposal—totally missed the signs 🙈. I walked to the front of the beautifully decorated ‘Marry Me’ sign, and my husband got down on one knee. He gave a speech that I was too excited and nervous to remember, and even before he finished, I was already saying ‘Yes’ lmao. He popped the question, put a ring on it, and the rest is history.
