Our love adventure started in January 2019, all thanks to the Twitter thread, #10yearsChallenge. I saw his picture in the reply section and couldn’t help but notice his bright smile. I sent him a direct message to compliment him, and he responded almost instantly. I told him that was my way of shooting my shot at him. He asked for my number and said he would call me in the morning.
His call was the first thing I woke up to. We started chatting and he asked me a few questions. I was so excited because I felt like he was a perfect match for me. He even told me to ask my parents for my brideprice because he was planning to propose to me! From there our friendship grew, we got closer, started dating and eventually progressed to where we are now!

Our story kicked off in January 2019, all thanks to a random Twitter thread. It was the #10YearsChallenge, and there I was scrolling through replies when her message popped up. She’d noticed my picture and complimented my smile, it completely caught me off guard, but in the best way. She even joked that this was her way of “shooting her shot.” I couldn’t help but laugh and went ahead to ask for her number, promising to call her the next morning.
The next day, I called her first thing, and our conversation just flowed. We ended up talking about everything, asking each other questions, and before I knew it, I was joking about her asking her parents for her bride price. Something about her just felt so right; it was like we’d known each other forever. From that day, we clicked. What started as a random DM turned into a great friendship, then a relationship, and now… well, here we are, living proof that sometimes the best things start in the most unexpected ways.
