Some love stories take their sweet time unfolding, and Victoria and Obinna’s journey is proof that what’s meant to be will always find its way!

It all began in 2015 at Swansea University, where a brief encounter left a lasting impression. Fast forward through years of sporadic chats, lost contact, and life doing its thing, fate decided it was time for a grand reunion. In 2022, Obi reached out, and from their first lunch date in Manchester, sparks flew like they had never been apart.

What started as a simple reconnection soon turned into daily calls, deep conversations, and the kind of love story that warms the heart. Now, these two are saying “I do” the Igbo way, and trust us, it’s a full-blown celebration of love, culture, and beauty. They both look perfect together and we are so excited as they embark on this sweet forever journey. 😍

In 2015, at Swansea University, I first met Obi. He was coming from the Netherlands to visit a mutual friend, Davidson, and though it was a brief encounter, it left a lasting impression. Obi was warm, friendly, and full of charm. I’ll never forget how he gave me the nickname “Vickilola,” a name that still makes me smile today. At the time, I knew he liked me, but I was playing hard to get. Despite that, we stayed in touch—sporadically—until 2019, when life pulled us in different directions and we lost contact.

Fast forward to January 2022, when Obi reached out to tell me he’d be visiting the UK soon to see Ugo, our mutual friend. By March 2022, he arrived in Liverpool, and shortly after, he came to Manchester, where I live. We went out to lunch, and even though years had passed since we last saw each other, our connection was instant. It felt like no time had passed at all. We gisted for hours and caught up on everything!

After that visit, Obi began calling me every day at the same time, and I looked forward to hearing his voice. What started as a reconnection quickly blossomed into something deeper, and within a few months, we officially became a couple. And the rest is history!! It’s been a journey of timing, friendship, and love, and I’m so grateful to God for the path that brought us together.
