Soon, the guy Tife once found mysterious became the one person she couldn’t imagine life without. What started as friendship blossomed into something deeper, binding them in a love story destined for forever. Once upon a time, in a cozy little hostel in Ilorin, Kwara state, fate had something special in store. I lived on my own in a quiet room, nestled a couple of doors away from a guy who always seemed a little mysterious – mostly because he was the only one lucky enough to own a generator. As luck would have it, every time my phone was about to die, I’d knock on his door, hoping for a quick charge. Little did I know that each of those knocks would eventually lead me to something I never expected .

One day, when I was feeling under the weather, my friend (who lived just a few rooms down) suggested something to lighten the mood. Why not invite him and his friend over for a card game? We all gathered in my room, laughter echoing through the walls, and a subtle spark began to flicker. I didn’t realize it then, but while we were all caught up in the game, he was keeping an eye on me. The card game ended, and everyone left… except him.

He looked at me, noticing I was still feeling sick, and said, “Mind if I stick around to help you feel better?” Well I didn’t mind at all. That night, over small talks and shared laughs, we realized how much we enjoyed each other’s company. From then on, we would chat late into the night, discovering each other’s quirks, dreams, and fears. Slowly, what started as friendship blossomed into something deeper .

Three years of shared memories and countless beautiful moments later, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever.
