Before the wedding

Chichi‘s Wedding planners, Evented, first contacted me to find out my availability and packages. The bride then reached out to me in January 2017 to book without a trial. We met up a few weeks to the wedding to finalize her look. She is gorgeous and tall! Wow! 6ft 2!

Wedding Day

On the wedding, I found myself at this location again – Marriot Hotel, Watham Abbey. Looks like it’s becoming a favorite for brides. After bridal hair prep was finished by the lovely Deborah Lola, I began my work.

The Process

She has very oily skin, so I started with a quick cleanse of her skin, down to her neck using Garnier Micellar cleansing water and a spray of MAC fix +. Her brows were filled in with the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow definer in a mix of dark brown and medium brown. Chichi wanted a vibrant eye look so I worked with mainly the Violet Voss Holy Grail eye shadow palette. This was finished off with my favourite carbon black eyeliner – Ingot gel liner in the number 77 and some mink lashes. I noticed a lot of brides requesting bolder lashes these days against the usual natural Ardell lashes. Moving back to her skin, I massaged Becca ever matte poreless primer all over her face and then LA girl pro concealer in orange was used to counter the discolourations on her face.

For her foundation, I  used the NARS all day luminous foundation in a mix of Macao and New Orleans. This was followed by NARS creamy concealer in Amande and LauraMercier loose setting powder in Translucent to set and brighten under the eyes. I then used the powder and a damp beauty blender across the face to set the rest of the skin. A little fluffy brush and MAC NC50 added the further coverage needed around the face. MAC ambering rose and a touch of breezy was used across her cheeks, this added warmth and lighted up her face. After that, I took it up a notch by adding Becca shimmering skin perfector in Topaz to key areas of the face that catches the light. Chichi was radiating at this point! On her lips, I started with MAC lip liner in Chestnut, followed by MAC lipstick in a mix of lovelorn and half n half. The look was finished off with a clear lipgloss added to the middle of the lips and blended out. Does she not look just gorgeous?!
