Chizzy and Kayce’s Love Journey Began With a Friendly Banter at the Office

Love happens in the most unique ways and every time, it gets us super excited. Chizzy and Kayce’s sweet love story is making us realise that there can be more to friendly banters… such as leading people to “happy ever after”.

They met for the first time at Kayce’s office and their quest to find out who was taller ended up creating a sweet bond between them. Now, they are on a journey for a lifetime and nothing compares to the height or depth of their love. They had a beautiful white wedding ceremony with their friends and family present. Chizzy looked absolutely gorgeous and Kayce made a fine groom. Their wedding was filled with so much love and laughter and it was just so beautiful to see. They are giving us all the butterflies and we’re here for it!

The first time we met, Chizzy had just landed in Lagos coming from the United States. She walked into my office with her sister to greet me and immediately after seeing each other’s height, we had a friendly argument over who’s taller. We took off our shoes, stood back to back, and called my coworkers in to settle the dispute. Both of us remember that day fondly and still joke about who’s taller. (Even though I am technically taller, I let Chizzy pretend that she is.)

About a year later, in January 2022, I made up my mind to ask Chizzy out and I did. At the time, Chizzy was working remotely for a company in California and delayed her return flight to the US for over a month while we got to know each other. We took a week-long trip to Abuja where I unofficially proposed. Soon after that, Chizzy had to travel back to the States, but returned for our court wedding in June, and church wedding in January of 2023.
