Freda caught Kofi’s attention the very first day she stepped into the lecture hall. As fate would have it, the only vacant seat was the one in front of him. He offered her his textbook and this sweet gesture opened a door of communication and eventually, their perfect fairy tale.

Now, it’s all love in the air as the Nigerian beauty said ‘I do’ to her Ghanaian prince charming in a lovely white wedding ceremony. The first day I saw Freda was in Biology class in pre-med. The semester started in January but Freda came late in February and by this time all the friend groups had formed. She came to class late and there were only two seats left which happened to be right in front of me. When the class began and everyone had to open their textbooks, Freda didn’t have it and she looked a bit lost. So I tapped her, offered her mine and shared with a friend next to me. After the class we talked for the first time and the rest is history.

Here’s how Kofi popped the question:

I proposed to Freda on April 7th 2022 which also happened to be her sister’s birthday. I spoke to her family and then booked a nice restaurant in the middle of the week because I knew she wouldn’t like a crowd. I picked out her outfit so she wouldn’t have to “stress” about it after a long day at work and then I arranged with the restaurant to play a song which I’d told her over a year ago would randomly be playing one day in public and I’d propose to her. I went down on one knee and asked her to marry me and she said yes!
