Despite missing his flight to his friend’s wedding, love was determined not to let Kingsley miss his chance with meeting Gifty. Luckily, he made it to the wedding and when he set his eyes on her, he knew at that instant that he had found his wife. A few friends and I were visiting Nigeria for a wedding and also to enjoy the Christmas break. I remember him approaching me at the wedding and although he was my type in every aspect, I never thought much of it as he mentioned being based in Dubai and I wasn’t too keen on long-distance relationships. We ended up spending so much time together and it was like we had known each other for years. Despite the pandemic which sometimes kept us miles apart, the long distance didn’t feel so long.

I was the best man for my guy’s wedding and although I missed my flight, something told me I couldn’t miss the wedding. Who would have thought I was going to meet the love of my life? As soon as I had set my eyes on her at the wedding I remember telling my friends that I had found my wife, they thought I was playing as they say I can be very selective. But I knew she was the one. God truly gave me my gift.
