Things took a sweeter turn when Batuhan slid into Idara’s DMs, and from there, their love story blossomed like a beautiful melody. To solidify their union, the Turkish groom, Batuhan, travelled with his family to Nigeria to ask for Idara’s hand in marriage—the Efik traditional way. Our love story started in 2020, he used to work in the cubicle opposite of me and I never even had a clue he was interested in me until our company gave an executive order to work from home. He reached out to me via Instagram and the rest was history. At the time, he told me to abandon all the people I was dating and I did. The beauty of our relationship is that we are best friends through and through. There is nothing I can’t share with my husband.
He loves and supports me with both his words and his actions. When it came to marriage I was sceptical because we are from two different countries, cultures and backgrounds but one thing I know is if a man wants to be with you, he will make it happen. To all the ladies looking for love, give the good guy a chance. Do it for your future kids. Choose the man that loves your family like his own.
