On the 23rd of November 2016, I reached out to Ayokunle on LinkedIn. Little did I know that this simple message would set the course for our beautiful love story. Ayokunle, responding via Facebook, admitted he already knew about me, sparking a connection that felt like fate. Our conversations evolved, transitioning from online chats to real-life meetings. We went on a few dates, but when he asked me to be more than just friends, I hesitated, focusing on my masters studies.

Time passed, and Valentine’s Day approached. One late night after leaving my university library, I found a delightful surprise at my doorstep: a bouquet of flowers. Confused yet thrilled, I discovered they were from Ayokunle, a gesture that left me speechless since he didn’t even have my address. With the mystery of the flowers unraveled, our connection deepened. We began talking day and night, sharing our thoughts, dreams, and everything in between. Our bond grew stronger, and eventually, we decided to make it official.
