Don’t you just find love amazing? How it makes you cross paths with strangers and before you know it, you almost can’t live without them. 😍
Kirsten and Paul met for the first time at a gala while at the university. What followed was a friendly conversation, exciting dates and now, a romantic proposal in the dreamy blue city of Santorini. Overlooking the most beautiful sights of nature, Paul went down on one knee asking the lady who had stolen his heart to marry him. Of course, she said Yes and we are here for all the sweetness. Their proposal photos are all you need for a bright and beautiful day!

Their love story as shared by Paul:
In March 2018, Kirsten and I got a chance to sit next to each other at a university end-of-year gala. We got to know each other, shared great conversations, and connected on social media. However, nothing serious came of it. For the next year and a bit, we platonically supported each other’s milestones via social media, but I always had an eye for something more. So, in August 2019, while I was out of the country, I reached out to Kirsten to connect in person, upon my end-of-year return. Fortunately, Kirsten agreed and in December 2019, we had our first date.
Within 2 weeks, we went on 4 more dates; and within 3 weeks, we made it official. In June 2023, after a summer of romance in Italy, France, and Greece, I got down on one knee, on the cliffside of Santorini, and asked Kirsten to be my wife. Thanks to our wonderful photographer, Kirsten didn’t suspect a thing, and the moment was captured perfectly. After the sunset proposal, we had a romantic candlelit dinner at a nearby oceanside restaurant, and we were welcomed back to our hotel suite with celebratory roses, candles, and our favourite love songs.
Kirsten and Paul also had an intimate engagement party and here’s how it went! 😍
Once we returned to Toronto the following month, we celebrated our engagement with our families in a private dinner, hosted at one of our favourite Italian restaurants, to commemorate their summer of love. Now, we are enjoying this beautiful new stage of our relationship and we look forward to wedding planning this spring, once I complete my Harvard MBA and Kirsten settles into medical school.
