Last weekend, all roads led to the beautiful destination of Lakowe Lakes Golf and Country Estate as they held the maiden edition of their wedding showcase tagged “Happily Ever After”. It was an event that attracted event planners, intending couples, wedding industry professionals and many more exciting guests. Guests were treated to an array of activities such as Pedal boating, estate tours, bridal brunch and picnics. They were also taken on a tour round all the various event venues in the Estate from their lush and picturesque island to the well-equipped banquet hall and the cottages in which couples who book their wedding package stay in. For anyone attending the event that day, they could envision a beautiful event happening here as the whole destination was decorated beautifully to show guests a glimpse of what an event at Lakowe Lakes can look like.

One of the highlights of the day was the panel session led by Abimbola Etti of Saffron Travels with seasoned wedding experts such as Funke Bucknor of Zapphaire Events, Bisola Borha of TrendyBEE Events and Debola Lewis of Yvent Couture. It was a truly amazing session as the panelists held nothing back as they divulged all their best-kept secrets on destination weddings. “When we talk about location and scenery, Lakowe Lakes has the scenery and the greens. When you are driving in, it looks very beautiful. There are many more reasons why you should come to Lakowe lakes but I think the location and scenery is enough” said Zapphaire Events CEO, Funke Bucknor.

The day came down to a beautiful close as the guests were serenaded by a live musical performance just as the sunset behind their lake and It was truly a beautiful sight to behold.
