Before the Wedding

My bride, Luckesha booked me 2 weeks to her wedding without requiring a trial. She had tremendous trust in my ability to meet her brief , “A glammed version of a natural look”.

On the Wedding

I met her finally on the morning of the wedding at her prep location. She had actually decided to now forgo the glam and go more natural but I persuaded her to stick with her glam look as she is blessed with beautiful features. Just look at that eyelid space and enviable jawline! ?

Makeup Process

After the hairstylist , Deborah Lola finished with the hair I began my work.  Her entire face was cleansed using Garnier Micellar Water and then prepped with my favourite – Embryolisse Lait cream. While I allowed her skin absorb the product I started on her eyes. Her brows were filled in using Blot cosmetics brow gel. On her lids, I started with MAC cosmetics paint pot in laying low applied to the entire lid using The balm eye palette in Nudetude, I created a soft neutral look and then glammed it up using Stila cosmetics glitter & glow in Kitten karma. This was finished up with Inglot gel liner in 77 and some mink lashes.

Moving back to the skin, I applied Charlotte Tilbury’s Wonder glow on the high points of her face followed with Fenty Beauty pro filter primer used on her T zones to combat shine. Foundation used was Lancome Teint Idole Ultra followed by NARS cosmetics creamy concealer. This was set with Laura Mercier Loose powder in Translucent. To give her face some soft definition I lightly contoured using Sleek contour kit in Dark followed by MAC blush in Raizin. I then added glow to her skin using Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in Bronze. The look was finished on her lips, starting with NYX lip liner in dark brown and Dose of Colour liquid lipstick in a mix of truffle and Sand. I then added Louboutin clear lip gloss to the middle of her lips for some additional oomph!

She looked absolutely beautiful. To see more of Joy Adenuga’s works, check her out on Instagram via @joyadenuga or www.joyadenuga.com.
