We all love weddings and the beauty it brings. The joy and happiness it brings to the couple and the families involved are one of the reasons why it will forever be a cherished moment. But there are people who can’t relate to this happiness. What happiness comes from a girl child of about 15 years being married off at such a tender age.

At #BellaNaijaWeddings we believe that every girl child has the capacity to be more and has the right to quality opportunities. Together we can all take a stand to End Child Marriage, together we must lend our voices to help the girl child who has no voice, just like Amaka, the founder of Wives RoundTable who is currently helping to Grace whose life trajectory took a downward turn when she was forced into marriage at a very young age to live a better life.

As we join the world to celebrate International Women’s Day 2019, we celebrate girls like Grace who despite circumstances are able to live a life filled with dreams, women like Amaka, Victoria, Nanfe, Tosin, Uche, Mercy and other amazing women who are lending their voices with UNICEF to say End Child Marriage.
