“When you know, you know” This saying holds true especially when it comes to love. Gbemiro knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Sarah right from the moment he saw her singing in church.
He told her she was going to be his wife during their first conversation and years later, what Sarah thought was a bit cheesy is now a sweet reality! The lovebirds tied the knot in a lovely Yoruba traditional wedding with their friends and family present to share in their joy. The beautiful display of culture and sweet show of love was such a delight to witness. They make such a cute couple and we are excited for them as they embark on their forever journey.
Enjoy their wedding photos and love story below:
Their love story as shared by Sarah:
The first time I saw Gbemiro was at church on a Wednesday service. I remember he was walking into the sanctuary and I glanced at him for a couple of seconds and I immediately turned to the other girls that I was with and asked who the new tall cute guy was! They told me he was new to the church and had just relocated! That was pretty much it for me at that time. I will never forget the day he approached me and made his intentions known to me that he liked me.
The wedding morning glow we signed up for!
I found it strange as we had never had a conversation before that, but he mentioned some qualities about me that he liked and qualities he would like in a future partner (someone had been watching me) lol. We exchanged numbers that day but to be honest (sorry Gbemiro) I really didn’t count it as anything and went about my life as normal. A lot of back and forth in between, not texting him back or picking up his calls. I prayed about it and asked God for clarity. I eventually decided to give him a chance! Days, Weeks, Months and Years later we are here and I could not be happier! Here is to forever my love …..
All set for the big day 😍
Their love story as shared by Gbemiro:
I just came newly from Nigeria. Some people would say Fresh off the Boat. Blessed enough, I met Sarah by accident! I first noticed her at church. A significant time was when I was in the media room and she was in the choir. The camera was on her and I was the one controlling which camera made it on the main screen, there and then she ministered to my soul as she was singing and I had the camera focused on her for a while. That was a defining moment for me as I felt God telling me she was my wife.
I told someone how I felt about her and an introduction was made between both of us. I made my intentions known to her. I was pretty direct and told her I saw her as my wife. We exchanged numbers. She definitely played the hard-to-get card but eventually we became best friends. I bless the day I met her. I don’t know what to say to anyone who thinks we are not meant for each other but sorry in advance because this is to a hundred years to start with. I thank God for her every day.
