How do you know that you have fallen in love with someone? For Femi, it was the moment when he saw Sophie’s photo on a friend’s WhatsApp status.

He couldn’t stop thinking about her beautiful face and he knew that if only a look at her photo could have such an effect on him, then she just had to be the one. He decided to shoot his shot and after a few persuasions, he was finally able to get her to go on a date with him. Well, you will agree that he also swept her off her feet as much as she did because they are now set for the aisle! It all started on her birthday, the 10th of February 2020. I stumbled on a post of a very pretty babe on a mutual friend’s WhatsApp status, wishing her a Happy Birthday. As a sharp single guy, I requested her details and asked that we were introduced. After a few persuasions, we went on our first date. Subsequent dates and hangouts followed and I managed to sweep her off her feet. She agreed to be my girlfriend on April 19 2020. Looking back now, she was the best gift Covid gave me and I knew I had to wife her.

Sophie is an adventurous person while I am mostly an introvert, with a little thirst for adventure. I had to learn how to love her in her language and how to take pictures of her (most importantly) as this was very key for her. She also learnt how to spend quality time indoors and how to love me in my own way. Our relationship has taught us to love selflessly and build together. We’ve learnt how to enjoy our differences and turn them into advantages. Finding strength in each other’s weaknesses and pushing one another to be better. Here comes #Becomingtheadetayos.
