Rene’s Persistence Paid Off—Now He and Stephanie Are on to Forever!

They say true love is always worth fighting for and we can’t agree more. When Rene met Stephanie, he was certain she was the one he wanted in his life.

Despite her initial reluctance, he remained persistent in winning her heart. Well, he eventually did, and now they’re set for a lifetime of bliss! Today, they are serving up pure style and beauty with their pre-wedding shoot, and we’re loving every bit of it. From their bold and daring black ensembles to their elegant traditional looks, every frame radiates the beauty of their love. We are super pumped for these two and we are totally rooting for them!

We beat the odds, and love brought us together; now we’re making it forever….. We initially met at the monthly Victoria DMV meeting. After a few months, Rene began talking to me. I recall telling him I wasn’t looking for a relationship, but we could be friends, and he replied, “I don’t make friends with women.” That seemed unusual to me, but I smiled and kept it moving. He was persistent in checking in on me every day. He called me up one day and said, Get dressed; I’m on my way to pick you up for a date.

When he arrived at my place, I suggested we stay in, eat Eru that I made, and watch TV instead. Although I could hear the disappointment in his voice, he agreed. He was surprised that I could cook. He later acknowledged that it was a stereotype he had. He remained persistent for 11 months and refused to give up on his feelings. I eventually decided to give it a try, and within a month, we traveled to Cameroon in December 2020.

Unfortunately, things did not go well, so we parted ways after three months of dating. We both moved on to different relationships, but, as the saying goes, “what’s yours will find its way back to you.” Fast-forward to when the magic began. We decided to give it another try despite the ups and downs. We trusted in ourselves, and with God’s help, here we are today, celebrating our love. Nobody saw this love coming, but God made it possible.
