Should we just say that Tani and Laolu‘s love story started in the DM? Laolu stumbled upon her page, sent a direct message Tani totally ignored. But then somehow they managed to find each other and grew into loving each other and deciding to spend forever together. We are itching to tell the full story but then Tani and Laolu can tell us better, how it all began.

Here’s how Tani recalls them meeting:

He slid into my DM which I ignored. A few months later someone in my church mentioned that a certain “brother” was interested in me. Apparently, he had been stalking me on social media and found out I was a member of my church. Luckily for him, he had a friend who connected him to a friend of a friend of a friend who connected him to my cousin!

One day, I got a phone call from a random person introducing himself and telling me how he wanted to be my friend and I somehow figured that this must be the “brother”. I was polite, made up my mind to “friend zone” him, laughed him off and moved on with my life. One year later we arranged to meet during my trip to the US. The rest, as they say, is history!

Now, let’s hear from Laolu:

As an “omoboy” looking for the bone of my bone (BOMB), I was seriously searching for a gorgeous queen I could grow with. One day, on IG I stumbled on her profile and just knew she was the one. I was hooked! Now the dilemma was how to close in on this correct parole. So I talked to a friend who knew someone who knew someone who knew someone who attended her church! (yes, you read right – Ponzi pyramid tinz! lol).

To cut the long story short, I got her number and we connected. Fast-forward to a year later, I asked her out in Vegas during an elaborately planned dinner and she said she’ll pray about it (Ela of the century).
