We are pretty much pumped about Ubi and Tony‘s love story plus their pre-wedding shoot. The bride-to-be Ubi shared their love journey with us and we think you better get into it. Enjoy every bit of it.

One afternoon my friend called me and asked that his friend Tony wanted to meet my friend. I had posted her picture on my Instagram page on her birthday and thought she would be Tony’s spec. So I was quite surprised when Tony sent me a dm instead. From that day I tried to set Tony up with at least 5 of my friends and I sentenced him to the friend zone for 7 months but he was persistent.

Tony was not fazed by all the walls I put up. Sometime in November at a party, it was like I saw Tony for the first time. It suddenly dawned on me that this man was actually the man I had been praying for. My 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 love. Patient, kind, not proud, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrong, protects and trusts. I finally agreed to date Tony and it is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. He is literally the love of my life and I cannot wait to spend forever with him.

He proposed to me on his birthday at home, I know he did this because he knows I am a very private person. So I had no idea he was going to pop the question when I got to his house and he looked scared but in a very cute way. Then he told me how much he loves me, but it seemed different then he got on his knees and said when we first met, I told you I always want you happy, now the second thing I want from you Ubi is to do me the honour of being my wife.

P.S: I always said I didn’t understand why women cry when they propose to them but then I found myself crying and saying yes to the love of my life.
